Founded in 1949 as a distributor of piping material for the Oil & Gas sector, Raccortubi today also supplies pipes, fittings and flanges for applications in the production of electricity, renewable energies, nuclear energy, fertiliser and urea plants, “green chemistry”, chemistry and petrochemicals and shipbuilding.
Oil & Gas
We provide materials for the construction of plants for the Oil & Gas sector both upstream and downstream, such as the refining and processing of oil and its derivatives and the production and distribution of natural gas.
Shipyards
Among our long-standing customers, there are some of the main chemical tanker and passenger ship builders.
In fact, all our products can be supplied from scratch on specific requests as well as from stock to meet any shipyard necessity – from shipbuilding, repair and retrofitting of cruise ships, gas carriers, and chemical tankers, up to specific applications of the Oil & Gas industries such as FPSOs (Floating Production Storage and Offloading Unit).
Fertiliser plants
Raccortubi supplies piping material (pipes, fittings, flanges) in grades 316L UG (UNS31603) and 310 MoLN (UNS31050) specific for applications in the production of urea and fertilisers, from the single piece to the complete project, in accordance with the technical specifications of Urea Casale, Saipem (Snamprogetti) and Stamicarbon.
Raccortubi has ready-made pipes that are also used as raw material for the production of fittings at its production plants.
This combined system of synergistic production and distribution is extremely significant for Urea materials that are generally difficult to find, as it guarantees the ready availability of a wide range of products and production to customer specifications with reduced delivery times.
Desalination plants
In desalination plants, 30% of the materials are made of stainless steel, given the high concentration of chlorides and the high process temperatures, with an increasingly frequent use of Duplex and Super Duplex, thanks to the excellent corrosion resistance properties and high mechanical strengths.
By providing pipes, fittings and flanges both from stock and special set-up, Raccortubi is therefore able to promptly meet any need related to this specific application, both for the selection of the most appropriate steel grade but also for the production of specific complementary products for a complete supply in the required time.
Nuclear Industry
Our products are also used in nuclear power plants, where the reliability of the manufacturer is essential, given the high criticality of the plant.
Green Chem
Energy transition is more current than ever: our products find natural application in the sectors of more sustainable energy production, for the world of today and tomorrow.
