OUR STORY
The origins
Founded in 1949, Raccortubi is today a leading Italian company in the production and distribution of piping material for critical applications. Dedicated to noble materials including stainless steel, Duplex, Super Duplex, Titanium and Nickel alloys, it provides butt weld fittings, both ready-made and special set-up, as well as pipes and flanges. In 1988, Tecninox Srl was founded, the Raccortubi’s production unit, specialising in the cold forming of butt weld fittings from ½” to 16”. To be able to sell and provide the best customer service, you need to have a thorough knowledge of the product, of its features and also its pitfalls, guaranteeing maximum flexibility to the customer. It was not enough to be just distributors, but rather we had to become a producer first and foremost. This is what made us not just a supplier, but a partner.
In 2013, an important expansion phase is implemented which results in Raccortubi having a global presence today, with stocks in the main strategic areas to serve the needs of the international market. From Europe (with its parent company in Italy and with its headquarters in the UK , to Brazil, the United Arab Emirates, and Singapore. In 2023, the acquisition of Raccortubi is finalised by Commerciale Tubi Acciaio (CTA SpA), a historic company from Turin leader in the marketing of carbon tubes, active in all branches of the energy sector, successfully led by the Pollastrini family. This opens up new opportunities for Raccortubi which, by exploiting the synergies with the other companies of the new Group, is able to offer a truly complete range of materials and sizes. There is no magic recipe. If we are one of the companies that can celebrate more than seventy years of history today, it is because we have never stopped looking for the best solution to our customers’ requests. We can offer pipes, flanges and fittings in a wide range of grades and sizes. Give added value thanks to our experience and nurture the relationship with the customer, addressing their needs, even anticipating them. This is our strength
