Social responsibility
The link with the territory
We believe in corporate social responsibility.
Our concrete commitment
For years we have been among the supporters of the installation of defibrillators in the area, convinced that in order to save a life, suitable tools and training are necessary, available to everyone.
In 2022 we learned about Erika Gibellini’s incredible story and decided to donate our contribution to the association for the creation of a paediatric oncohematology department. The response was so strong that we also organised a charity lottery among employees.
In the same year we collaborated with a supplier to support the Food Bank.
When it comes to creating gifts for our internal and external stakeholders, we always choose a gift that has symbolic as well as material value. By collaborating with historical and trusted suppliers close to us, we donate part of our spending to support charitable causes.
In 2023, part of the investment for Christmas gifts was donated to “Le stelle di Lorenzo“, a non-profit organisation that has set itself a commendable goal, that of fulfilling the wishes of children undergoing prolonged medical treatment, enriching their human experience with hope, passion and fun.
In recent years, our history has been intertwined with that of Non di Solo Pane, a local association that distributes meals to the needy of the area.
We try to avoid food waste, but when we’ve had some surplus, we didn’t hesitate to donate it.
In 2024 we undertook a donation in food goods aimed at facilitating the work of volunteers and at meeting the needs of individuals and entire families who, increasingly, ask to use this service. After the Covid-19 pandemic, in fact, the numbers have more than doubled.
Through the activities of the ESG Committee, we are committed to identifying valuable groups every year that we can support with our contribution and that we can help with awareness-raising work in the Communities in which we are present.
A group of people with a big heart
Social responsibility is a shared value embraced by everyone at Raccortubi. Beyond the company’s initiatives, it is often our employees themselves who take the lead in supporting local communities and charitable causes.
During the critical period of the Covid-19 pandemic, our colleagues in Aberdeen (UK) volunteered to help deliver medicines directly to people’s homes by motorcycle through Blood Bikes UK, an innovative volunteer service providing urgent medical transport.
We also took part in a fundraising initiative in support of UCAN by organising a cycling marathon. Starting from our Scottish office, participants symbolically covered the distance to our headquarters in Milan, cycling both outdoors and on stationary bikes set up at the workplace. The initiative aimed to raise awareness of the importance of preventing urological cancers and was made possible by the direct involvement of our people and their genuine commitment to supporting the community.
We are proud that such generous, community-minded people have chosen to work with us.
Responsibility that creates value
Although we are not subject to specific regulatory requirements, we have chosen to prepare a Sustainability Report. This decision reflects our commitment to embedding ESG principles into our corporate strategy, decision-making processes, and day-to-day operations.
Through our Sustainability Report, we monitor, measure, and transparently disclose our environmental, social, and governance impacts, setting improvement objectives and promoting initiatives aimed at reducing our environmental footprint, empowering our people, and strengthening responsible and ethical governance.
Every day, we are committed to actively contributing to sustainable development by creating long-term value for all our stakeholders and the communities in which we operate.
