charitable causes that we believe are useful to human evolution in general.\nWe are a multinational company, but we retain the positive characteristics typical of the small-medium enterprise from which we started.\nAs a historic company in Milan, we have maintained a strong link with the territory and this has also occurred with the establishment of the other group companies around the world.\n \nWe are active in the community, through sponsorships of local initiatives that promote values similar to ours. By collaborating with historical and trusted suppliers close to us, we donate part of our spending to support charitable causes. <\/p><p>In 2023, part of the investment for Christmas gifts was donated to &#8220;<a style=\"color: #000;font-weight: bold;text-decoration: none\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lestelledilorenzo.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Le stelle di Lorenzo<\/a>&#8220;, a non-profit organisation that has set itself a commendable goal, that of fulfilling the wishes of children undergoing prolonged medical treatment, enriching their human experience with hope, passion and fun.<\/p><p>In recent years, our history has been intertwined with that of <a style=\"color: #000;font-weight: bold;text-decoration: none\" href=\"https:\/\/nondisolopanemagenta.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Non di Solo Pan<\/a>e, a local association that distributes meals to the needy of the area.<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We try to avoid food waste, but when we\u2019ve had some surplus, we didn&#8217;t hesitate to donate it.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In 2024 we undertook a donation in food goods aimed at facilitating the work of volunteers and at meeting the needs of individuals and entire families who, increasingly, ask to use this service. Beyond the company&#8217;s initiatives, it is often our employees themselves who take the lead in supporting local communities and charitable causes.<br \/>During the critical period of the Covid-19 pandemic, our colleagues in Aberdeen (UK) volunteered to help deliver medicines directly to people&#8217;s homes by motorcycle through Blood Bikes UK, an innovative volunteer service providing urgent medical transport. <br><br>We also took part in a fundraising initiative in support of UCAN by organising a cycling marathon. Starting from our Scottish office, participants symbolically covered the distance to our headquarters in Milan, cycling both outdoors and on stationary bikes set up at the workplace.
